Artist's statement

"My proposal for the Museumsquartier's residency is organised around three central issues that I have been engaged with my recent art practise: art mediation, social roles of art, and representation of minorities. As an artist with a teaching background and experimenting with sociological methods in art practice the aim of my current project is to research different artists’ and art educator’s practices involved in ‘critical pedagogy’ and create a platform for discussion and exchanges of these practices, as a starting point for working towards an alternative idea of art education today. What role does art education play and what are the possibilities of art within education in the current economical and political changes."
